CSIS Holds Program on Dubai Ports Deal

Yesterday, the well-respected Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) held a program entitled "The Dubai Ports Deal: How Secure Is It?" During his introduction, CSIS's president expressed his concerns over the lack of facts that have characterized the recent debate on this issue. This program was intended to provide facts and other clarifying information about U.S. ports and how they are run. The panelists included:

  • Admiral James M. Loy, Former Deputy Secretary, Department of Homeland Security
  • William H. Webster, Former Director, FBI
  • Jayson Ahern, Assistant Commissioner, Office of Field Operations U.S. Customs and Border Protection
  • Rear Admiral Craig Bone, Director of Inspection and Compliance, U.S. Coast Guard
The discussion was moderated by David Heyman, senior fellow and director of the CSIS Homeland Security Program.

This program is worth listening to or viewing. You can download the file to your iPod or watch it on your desktop at following link: www.csis.org/component/option,com_csis_events/task,view/id,906/.
