BIS Issues Correction to Rule Regarding Notification of License Conditions
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) today published in the Federal Register a correction to the November 23, 2004 interim rule that amended the Export Administration Regulations to require licensees to communicate in writing specific licensing conditions. 67 Fed. Reg. 68,076. The corrected rule inserts a phrase that had been omitted from the original version of section 750.7(d). The correct version of the provision as follows: "It is the licensee's responsibility to communicate in writing the specific license conditions to the parties to whom those conditions apply." (new text in bold).
