Article Discusses Impact of Deemed Export Changes on University Research


The
Richmond Times-Dispatch today published an article discussing the impact of the Bureau of Industry's (BIS) proposed changes to the "deemed export" rule. The article states that "university officials across the country fear the recommendations will restrain the research activities of foreign students and faculty to the point that the regulations will undercut openness and scientific progress on college campuses."
