U.S. May Seek Textile Deal with China

The Bush administration plans to conduct consultations on whether to seek a broad agreement with China on exports of textile and apparel products to the U.S. To give the administration time to execute this plan, the Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements (CITA) announced yesterday that it will extend until August 31, 2005 the period for making determinations in six textile market disruption cases.
