BIS Denies Export Privileges of Person for Exporting Electrophysics Astroscope Lenses to Iran

The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) recently isssued an order prohibiting Erik Kyriacou, of Rocky Point, New York, from participating in any transaction involving the export of goods subject to the Export Administration Regulations until July 19, 2015. BIS denied Mr. Kyriacou’s export privileges after he pleaded guilty to two violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act for knowingly and willfully exporting four electrophysics astroscopes, items on the Commerce Control List, to Iran.
