The State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) has published on its website the following announcment regarding current defense trade policy with Thailand:
We have received many inquiries in response to current events in Thailand. There is no arms embargo on Thailand. The United States continues to review all proposed arms transfers and sales to Thailand on a case-by-case basis. Exports that support the foreign policy and national security goals of the United States will be approved.
