DDTC to Co-Sponsor Export Controls Symposium for Universities

The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls announced today that it is co-sponsoring with Johns Hopkins University an Export Controls Symposium for academic research institutions. The Symposium will be held on May 23-24, 2007 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC.

The Symposium is geared to university researchers and research administrators who want to better understand federal regulations that apply to sharing information with foreign parties. Representatives from the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce and Defense are scheduled to provide information and answer questions about export control issues for universities.
