List of Pending and Proposed BIS Regulations Issued by Commerce Department

The Commerce Department has published its semi-annual list of regulatory actions in Monday's Federal Register. The list, which includes all regulations under development or review by each Commerce Department bureau over the next 12 months, is grouped according to prerulemaking, proposed rules, final rules, long-term actions and rulemaking actions completed since the fall 2006 agenda.

The Bureau of Industry and Security's list of regulatory actions is extensive and notes for the first time that a regulation is pending in the "prerule state" that would require exporters filing Automatic Export System records or Shipper's Export Declarations to include the paragraph numbers of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN).
